The lyrics of California Gurls was co-written by Katty Perry as an answer of the popular hit Empire State of Mind by the rapper Jay-Z together to Alicia Keys. The single will be released as the lead single of her upcoming thrid studio next week (May 25th on radio). The electropop single is featuring Snoop Dogg and will be performing at the Much Music Vidoe Awards next June 20th, 2010. Teenage Dream is the title of her new record which will be available at the end of August, 2010.
