It is featuring M.I.A.The song received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song together the single Jai Ho that got the prize last Feb 24th 2009. All tracks was writing by A.R. Rahman. Paper Plans is a song that talks about the problems with visas and the perceptions about immigrants. Also, it is a soundtrack for the upcoming movie Pineapple Express which will be premiered on August 6th. The music video was made by Bernard Gourley and released on December through TRL. Paper Planes has many remixes. The album, Kala, has been nominated at 2008 Independent Music Awards as International Album of the Year and MIA got a nomination as International Artist/Group/Duo of the Year.
