Every Teardrop is a Waterfall is a latest single released by Coldplay. The song was released as digital download at the beginning in June and sold more than 85,000 during the first week. The new single includes elements from “I Go to Rio” which was written by Petter Allen and Adrienne Anderson in 1976.

The single serves as the first upcoming fifth album. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall was described by Rolling Stone M as a single that “gets in touch with the enthusiastic, imaginative spirit of early hip-hop”. And added “sounding like a mixteru of U”, the Velvet Underground and rave music”.
