Who cares? All that cares is if you liked the song. And anyway in NME he said something like America raising a nation of dancers or something, I don’t know I didn’t read it.

A wonderful song. I just pretend they are swallowing the “s” on “dancers” and then it seems fine, even though still weird. Maybe someone should ask the guys on their own website if they know what it means?

Denser makes more sense, but I am curious to find out what the deeper meaning of this song is.

it’s pretty much saying are the decisions in our life actually based on you orr if someone is pulling the strings and your life is pretty much predetermined

Some have wondered if Flowers is in fact singing something else, such as, “denser.” MTV News asked Flowers about the nonsensical chorus. He replied:”It’s taken from a quote by author Hunter S Thompson: ‘We’re raising a generation of dancers,’ and I took it and ran. I guess it bothers people that it’s not grammatically correct, but I think I’m allowed to do whatever I want.” He added, laughing: “‘Denser’? I hadn’t heard that one. I don’t like ‘denser.’”

Which basically says are we human- do we live life the way we want to, and not do everything right, not exactly perfectly in order maybe. or are we dancer- do we live by what is layed out and choreographed for us, none of it being our own.
