Major Tom is a popular song which has been recorded for many singers, bands or groups. This is the name of a fictional astronaut that was created by the American actor, singer and producer David Bowie. This character appared on Bowie’s songs Space Oddity in 1969, Ashes to Ashes in 1980 and Hallo Spaceboy in 1996. The American rock band, Shiny Toy Guns has released this month a new cover version which has reached the peak position at #46 on Canadian Hot 100 Chart. Some of their next events are: St Louis, MO (23rd May), Winnipeg, Manitoba (Jun 5th) and Bakersfield, CA (Jun 7th).

This song was originally by Peter Schilling (in German) - David Bowie only created the character Major Tom.
But I love Shiny Toy Guns’ version!

AWESOME!!!!…..Love her voice reminds me of great 80’s sounds where they cared about what you sound like!….This one i am going to the store to buy no matter how manny different ways i could get it online for free….Shiney Toy Guns should be paid for this!
