Today, it has been released the lead single of the 12th studio album of Mariah Carey which has been titled Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. This material will be out next August 25th. This single is written and produced by the same Carey, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. According to Carey, this song is one of her favorites from her new album.     I love Mariah and all; I reckon she’s a force to be reckoned with, but this ‘Obsessed’ song is truly a mess!

    Her last two lead singles ‘It’s Like That’ and ‘Touch My Body’ had more sense of construction whereas this song is literally quite bombarded with weird syntax.

    I love Mariah for her daredevilish use of words that no many other artists use, but she just blabs on about crap in this song.

    It’ll do well on the charts (for reasons I have no idea of), but honestly, its a C+ song.
