The TV says I’m not the girl that I should be
It drives me crazy
I’m not impressed; it isn’t what I want to be
So call me lazy
Operator, Operator
Don’t call me; I’ll call you later
Operator, Operator
I’m just fine; I’ll call you later
Why would I want to be anybody else but me
I’m never gonna fake it
Why would I ever be anybody else but me
I know I’m gonna make it
Without a doubt, I know what I’m about
I’m everything I’ll ever want to be
A girl like me
A girl like me
The magazines are messing with reality
It’s entertaining
As long as we don’t ever take it seriously
We’ll keep on laughing
Operator, Operator
Don’t call me; I’ll call you later
Operator, Operator
I’m just fine; I’ll call you later
Why would I want to be anybody else but me
I’m never gonna fake it
Why would I ever be anybody else but me
I know I’m gonna make it
Without a doubt, I know what I’m about
I’m everything I’ll ever want to be
A girl like me
I don’t want to lose control
I don’t want to sell my soul
I don’t want to be no jazztic, spastic,
Superficial plastic clone
Operator, Operator
Don’t call me; I’ll call you later
Operator, Operator
I’m just fine; I’ll call you later
Why would I want to be anybody else but me
I’m never gonna fake it
Why would I ever be anybody else but me
I know I‘m gonna make it
Why would I want to be just another wanna be
I’m never gonna be, never ever gonna be
Without a doubt, I know what I’m about
I’m everything I’ll ever want to be
A girl like me
A girl like me
A girl like me
A girl like me
A girl like me

I luv this song! And the vid is fun too – her hair is rad, I want it. Can’t wait to hear more. I heard she has a whole CD this spring so there’s got to be new stuff soon – whoo.
Yay for girls who aren’t cookie cutter.

You know whats awesome? Shiloh, when she sings this song at the part where the lyrics move away from the normal chorus and chatter of the song to the creepy “I don’t want lose control, I don’t want to sell my soul” stuff, her voices changes and she sounds just like Rihanna!!!
Do a masonic esoteric freakout on that one….

I consider Shiloh as wonderful individual and her statement is very true and clear especially as an inspiration for the young generation that are “wannabe” and copy everything that is bad without looking for the consequences first.. What magazines imply are all misleading and camera tricks.
Shiloh has a bright and long future ahead for herself, because she presents herself as confident, she is AWESOME! Shiloh is the next Mick Jagger of the 21 century. Keep up the good work Shiloh way to go.
