Party Rock Anthem is the first single of the album Sorry for Party Rocking performed by the American electro hop recording duo LMFAO accompanied by English singer, model and dancer Lauren Bennett and American music producer GoonRock. The song has been really successful in some countries and has also a funny and remarkable video as part of the promotion.
Do you remember the film 28 Days Later? (Yeah, that movie where the world was affected by a strange virus that made people crazy and raged enough to murder the other people who were not affected by the virus.) Well, apparently LMFAO has been inspired by this movie to create the corresponding video that shows streets of a desolate city where “something” has happened before. Redfoo and Skyblu wake up in a hospital since they were in coma due to excessive party rocking, and when they go out, the things become strange: People are infected by a musical virus… or more exactly, this sticky song causes a curious reaction when people listen to it.
The song has been very popular around the world, especially in countries like New Zealand where it’s the longest running number one since 2009.
It has also had also a huge acceptation on Internet: More than 1,000,000 downloads… and that is only in United States.
So, be careful, if you are going to listen to this song, maybe you become infected by the virus
